what is the best programme to convert dvd to AVI and keep the same sort of quality.

dvd is across many vob files, but i need just the one file to play in my xbox360 as i have to play each file individually
smaller the better but dont mind big file as long as i get the quality

You can rip a DVD to XviD/DivX using Auto GK*.
